Who will you be when you graduate?
What a gift to have a window into multiple perspectives and to be a part of optimistic work as a college counselor and advocate. When we begin the process with juniors during individualized meetings, our goal over the course of the following 18 months is for each student to answer the question, "Who will I be when I graduate from Prep?” The college process is a transformational time in a young person’s life, a time to look inward and take note of the impact one can person can have within a community. Sure, the college process is nuanced and complex, but aren’t all valuable experiences in life?
The college counseling team walks alongside its students, encouraging them to engage in genuine ways; to be kind to themselves and to nurture intellectual curiosity. The college matriculations each year are the byproduct of our department’s work in identifying the appropriate balance and fit for each student. Inspiring students to be the best versions of themselves, while strategically guiding them through the college application process, is our mission.
