Visiting the School
Individual and group tours are held in the fall and spring of each year. Tours are given on weekday mornings and afternoons between 8:20 am and 2:30 pm and are open to both students and parents. Please call 818.790.1178 ext. 5515 to schedule a tour.
Flintridge Prep holds an Open House each year for interested students and their families. This event provides an informal opportunity to see the campus and meet with faculty, coaches and current students. There are also question-and-answer sessions with the Headmaster and mini-presentations by some members of the faculty. There are no guided tours at the Open House so please call our office or complete an inquiry form if you would like to schedule a guided tour during the week. The event is open to students from all grade levels.
This year’s event will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. To register, please click here.
Additional information is forthcoming and reservations can be made beginning in October.
Shadow visits provide applicants with an opportunity to visit campus and attend classes with a current student. Visits are held early in the calendar year (January through March) on weekday mornings. Please contact the Admissions Office in December to schedule an appointment. We will assign a student volunteer to act as host for the visit. If you would like to request a specific host or visit a specific course or courses, we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Traffic and Parking Advisories
All tours meet from the main office in the Administration Building located at 4543 Crown Avenue. Parking is available along Crown Avenue adjacent to the school or one of our security officers will help direct you. As a courtesy to our neighbors, please don’t park in front of any of the residences near campus.
Beginning October 30, the Foothill Boulevard off-ramp from the 210 Freeway heading west is scheduled to be closed. If you are coming this direction, please allow 15-30 minutes additional drive time to account for traffic congestion in this area depending on the time of day. The Berkshire and Angeles Crest off-ramps will be open as alternatives. The closure will last up to 45 days. For real-time information on lane or ramp closures, visit Caltrans Quickmap, quickmap.dot.ca.gov. You can also view the updated traffic notice from CalTrans.
